Yesterday I opened a TFSA account for us with RBC Direct Investing.  The whole account opening process was pretty painless after I realized that the computer I was using to open my account did not have Adobe PDF Reader.  As a result it generated a file on my laptop and was unable to display it, anyways I managed to save the file and opened on my other machine with Adobe on it.

Called RBC Direct Investing rep and they advised me to print, sign, and also include a W-8Ben form with my application just in case I trade US equities.
