I started preparing for my PMP on the 25th June, 2010.
I attended an online PMP Prep class to get the 35 contact hours. This class started on 25 th June and ended 30th July, 2010. Read PMBOK once till the end of the classes.
While the classes were happening, I made sure to read the chapter(s) being discussed in the class next. For this I used PMOB Guide 4th Edition.
For the month of August, I did the following:
PMBOK twice.
O'Reilly - Head First PMP 2nd Edition (2009) once. This book has a much better format than the PMBOK and more fun to read.
Did all the tests from Andy Crowe's book
Did all the tests from O'Reilly - Head First PMP 2nd Edition (2009)
Did all the tests from Rita Mulcahy Exam Prep
A day before the exam did the full length test on O'Reilly - Head First PMP 2nd Edition (2009) website
Wrote the exam on 30th August, 2010 and passed it.
